Bear of Berne, 1476
« on: 02 September 2015, 06:45:43 PM »
Here's my version of the bear of Berne, a recent release from Perrys.

There's some evidence that the Bernese took a bear on campaign, as a symbol of their city and status. This one's a big boy, and should get a +1 in combat I reckon. This group and plenty of other Swiss will be engaged in a demo game at Partizan show on this Sunday, called 'Berne Baby Berne' (!), with more figures from the brushes of Dave Andrews and David Imrie.
More pics of Swiss figures that I've been completing are on my blog

If you're at the show, please say hello.
Simon.

Superb Simon.

I looked at your blog the other day and love your Swiss pike blocks. Great battle pics from Chez Perry too  :)

That's a stunning vignette. Adds that extra bit of character to an already colourful army.

Lovely little diorama Simon, and a cracking blog. I bet you've had a few people stabbed by those pikes when their moving them about the table lol.
