It's not just mobile browsers. It doesn't work in either FireFox or Chrome for me.

Granted, both my browsers have security/privacy plugins that block various types of stuff, but 99% of the web plays fine with them, so when I encounter sites that don't, I assume the site was designed badly. Someone was either getting very dirty with the scripting, or trying to "creatively" misuse the wrong types of scripting/software for the wrong types of elements without regard for web standards.
