28mmish ATVs
« on: 14 November 2015, 07:51:47 PM »
Wondering if anyone knows what will work best with modern 28mm figures.

Does anyone have the Airfix ATVs that could post a picture with a 28mm figure by chance? These are really the only ones that I have seen at the hobby store lately.

TIA Earle

Empress make some as do Eureka. Not seen the Airfix ones in the flesh.

Thanks...I'll look into those...any model or die cast versions? Those always seem cheaper.

I dunno, hereabouts the Airfix kit is actually more expensive than the Eureka model.

Devil Dog Designs did one back in the day, if you can find one...

Airfix 1/48 one besides a conversion made from a Wargames Factory soldier.

Titch too big, but then again that particular model is a smidge smaller than regular 28mm. That particular ATV kit was a bit of a hassle to stick together though due to the complexity of the parts necessary for that level of detail.

Thanks guys....think I'll find the airfix at set. Looks like it will work well enough for me.

I'm more interested in the Wargames Factory soldier conversion.  What did you use as the base figure?

The airfix is one I have for my Brits (no pics sadly) but corgi and matchbox also do a quad but not one used by the military as far as I'm aware.
