Denizens of Wave Echo Cave (spoilers)

Hey guys,

So I'm running the Lost Mines of Phandelver and my players are almost at the final dungeon! If you plan on playing the adventure, perhaps stop here, otherwise you'll get a preview of the monsters you'll face! The infamous Wave Echo cave, that will bring the adventurers much wealth and renown if they manage to survive!

First up, some stirges... but let's face it, stirges don't really work for me. Giant hairy mosquitoes? So I'm going to use stirge stats, but represent them as vampire bats. And so I dug up some old - but strangely still currently available from GW - giant bats and put some new paint to them. They turned out okay, but some of the picks are a little over-exposed.











I also painted up a spectator from one of the D&D cooperative dungeon crawler games. This should be fun to throw at my players, they'll enjoy the spectacle! A beholder that's low-level enough for them to (barely) handle.



I have more monsters to paint, so I'll update the thread when they come together!
