A Question of Landsknechts
« on: 29 November 2015, 01:54:29 PM »
Hi all,

Sorry to ask a 'help me with xyz' project, but...

I'm wanting a break from my constant 15mm sci fi grind and have the urge to dabble in an Oldhammer style project for fun.

So, I'm going to make up a few element bases of the 'Town Defence of Grubelburg' using Landsknechts. And characterful one's at that. It'll be 6 men in roughly two rows of 3, but dioramas, on 80x40 bases (because I have loads!)

So, which ranges work well together? I'm thinking of using Foundry, Pro Gloria (from Warlord) and some Lead Adventure minis for flavour - will those gel well?

Thanks all

Foundry & Pro Gloria work quite well, Artizan to a lesser extent. You might find the Breugelberg miniatures rather large in comparison.

Brilliant - thank you kindly. I did toy with following your guide for sculpting slashes onto Perry plastics, but couldn't face it!

That's a shame about the LAM's, I was quietly counting on them to add some flavour to the elements. Ho hum.

Cheers.

Stuart is spot on in terms of size- did you decide to go with a particular make as of yet?

Darrell.
