...then hussar lancers on giant warbirds,...

Erm, I have to give credit for that one to Froggy:

And Buck Surdu has done something in a similar vein:

That aside, I appreciate the warm comments.

I am going to have to get me some of these. I will need to shave the boots down to bare feet on the ones that have boots. I plan to use them for the Dahomey amazon corp. I have some of the Dixon figures, I wonder how these will size up with them.

Love the Avion and lizard mounts.

I don't have any Dixon figures, but my understanding is they're on the large side, while Hinterland is on the small side:

Here's another Hinterland comparison picture, which I've lifted from the Tsuba site:

Can anyone tell me who makes those Terrorbirds?
I'm not a mercenary. Killing's more of a hobby for me.

According to Froggy's old thread, they're from Reaper.

I got a set of these new figures yesterday and cleaned them up today.  There was only one small place with flash behind the elbow on one figure.  They cleaned up in about ten minutes.   I am glad We do not sell these, as I could never let them go.
I have seen a photo of a new green schutztroupen and can hardly wait for them to be available. As soon as I can afford it I will be ordering enoough camel corps for a unit and askari to finish  what I already have painted up.
The camels are brilliant, much better than others in this era and scale.  There is even foam on the beer steins.
There goes my minis budget for the near future.  Thanks Jason you are a swell guy.

Reaper still makes an incredible giant bird,  03092 Axebeak for $6.99 each but I thought that was a bit too much for my budget, so I kept searching. I went to Historicon back in 2014 and the gentleman from Iron Wind Metals was selling Ral Partha by the pound. I found all manner of interesting bits, but my favorite find were in a miscelanous creatures box. The giant birds that I later found on their website as DF 594 Phorhusracos for $5.50, were on sale for a by the pound convention price which was much less. He even helped me find the twelve I wanted complete with wings. So my Hinterland Princess Viktoria's Lancers will be patrolling on giant war birds from Ral Partha.
ShadowSea has a stunning Skullcracker bird for $22.99 but that is way too expensive for a unit of 12.

Copplestone Castings had a pair, but thet aren't on the website any more.
