My latest figures for my FRW collections, mostly Trent Miniatures with three Foundry figures filling in for now ~

hello
very nice...me too...i have a Foundry Austrian French Rev Army to paint..an their French opposition to complete..
i know that Trent is the best choice for variety of troop types..among them my favourite ones (i'm Italian  :) which the Cisalpine Republic Army...but from just a few samples i have it seem that they are quite big if compared with Foundry, Charriot Miniatures ,  Touller or Mirliton...but what a pity
as you experimented with both types which is your opinion..should i give up in mixing those manufactures with the interesting Trent ranges..or i could try?
many thanks for your appreciated advice...

A fine body of men there, more fodder for French revolutionary hordes :)

Must say I doubt I would have noticed the interlopers when next we play if you had not mentioned it.

Black Powder - we are working on specifics so can't say more at present.

As separate units I mix manufacturers with no qualms. Within Trent units Front Rank work well for look, heft and scale (See officer in Dragoons on my blog). Foundry are very much smaller and slight, but I just raised base for those with some card and put them in the second rank! I doubt you would notice a few on the table when playing.

These are lovely. I was looking at supplementing my Eureka FRW troops with some Trent battalions, but it didn't looks like there were drummers or standard bearers available. Are they available and just not listed online, or are the figures in your unit from Foundry?

I got my drummers and standard bearers through Duncan, who I've known for many years through writing regularly for WI, as well as the fact that my son Matt made the original masters for the range. There are, as far as I can tell, no packs as such but I got both German & Hungarian drummers, Hungarian standard bearer & Hungarian grenadier standard bearer but there are no Hungarian officers and no NCOs at all nor Hungarian grenadiers. Try emailing Arcane or North Star who stock the range, they may know more. Hope this is helpful.

Very helpful, thank you!
Glad to be of help. I've just heard from Matt who thinks he did make Hungarian Grenadiers so I'll try to check with Duncan when I can.
