plastic kits for converting human blood bowl team
« on: 10 July 2015, 10:23:25 PM »
I've used imperial guard and free company kits and chaos plastic kits to build human blood bowl teams does can anyone think of other plastic kits that would be suitable?

Ive started building a team but wanted to build a second as their rivals and wanted a different look similar to the style in the Xbox game

Black Scorpion Miniatures has a gorgeous human team but they're more...Greek/Elf looking than what you're after (and resin, tsk tsk).

Empire greatswords are an excellent choice.  Their armour is an almost perfect match for the fantasy football kit.  The arms included with the kit are the only downside so you might want to look for something to swap in.  I really liked the huntsman kit along with it as it gave some solid additional arm swaps and some dynamic lightly armoured bodies to stand in as catchers.

Blightkings have that type of armor but they are too big and too dead. maybe parry man at arms?

WHFB Empire Greatswords are a good start, and I'd probably suggest a box of the Empire Militia for the arms (NB: the Militia are probably also good for any characters on the side-lines too).

Helmets might be the only issue, although you could use the ones in the Greatswords kit or hunt around for separate heads from another fantasy football minis company. I know that Impact Miniatures make a sprue with catching gloves on it too.
