What colour are the eyes? Will there be a wash over the sergeant's helmet? I think it could pop the details bit more visible?

since sergeants have red helmets and eyes I've decided to paint the eyes crimson to darken them, tough in those 1st ed models the eyes are really samall and hidden, they were just beginning to make minis anyway.

If I put ink on the helmet the eye'll practically disappear and I've got no time or intention of painting all the lightning in orange, just HQ gets that

and if I'm rushed not even them!

Any ideas on how to highlight golden yellow?

Try using a lighter shade of yellow if you want to keep a bold colour or use an off-white or pale cream if you don't mind the more washed out look.

They are nicely painted but they are also extremely yellow.

I think that they would be 'toned down' with some sort of shading/black-lining between the yellow armoured panels.

I'd also suggest picking a few more details out in a different colour (on the comms guy, a metal arial and a few metal details on the back-pack would help break up the yellow a bit).

The highlighting and neatness look good.
