Pulp Vehicle for my league? (Armored car or tankette?)
« on: 12 April 2016, 03:13:38 PM »
I was considering to use a vehicle for my 193X pulp alley league.

The leagues is this:

What could be a nice vehicle for them?
I'm uncertain about an armored car, tankette or even an odd tank.
I know Copplestone Casting have some nice armored cars too, but I don't find them anymore in their website.  ???

Here some examples I've found.

How about this? Looks like enough room for your league!  ;)

It could be nice (seem a car fine for a jetson family too) but I forgot to write that my league is from 193X, then I need a vehicles of those years. ;)

Oh charming never looked at my armoured cars lol
So I'll mix things up.
Come up with an Armoured car,or tank that post dated WW1 and pre dates WW2 then I might add it the Ealing Pulp stuff I'm making.

Mark,

How about a 1923 Skoda armed with 4 Maxim MGs?

I certainly prefer the idea of an armoured car on the open African terrain but perhaps the tankette would fare better in the jungle? Of course ANY vehicle will have trouble in the jungle, so maybe it's a wash.

An armoured car would have longer range and be more capable of independent operations, so if the Bakers have plenty of support they can probably manage a tankette, but if you imagine they're mostly on their own, an armoured car might be better.

I'd go half track.(not the WW2 versions that automatically spring to mind though)
You could actually have room for two figures to go toe to toe in the back, without oversizing the vehicle (a fight on moving vehicle what's more Pulp than that)and the option to have changeable loads or even a turret.would mean you'd get more use out of the model.
Or possibly one of the Dragon artillery tractor's from the 1920's.

Mark.

I agree, for an african campaign the armored car could be better. Maybe an obsolete armored car available for the wealthy Lord Baker too (a veteran officer of the Great War).
However the Ironclad Scout Tank could be interesting too. It could be a vehicle done personally by Lord Baker for his adventures.

Where I coud find some nice armored cars too?

The Suiza MC-36. Is one of my favourite cars,it has a great pulp feel. I've one of these on my to do list for a Tin tin game, still can't decide on the colour (red, orange,or yellow)

Thanks for the informations  :)
I've found some other interesting tankettes and armored cars too, however I'm almost sure to use the Ironclad Scout Tank for Lord Baker and his family.

The last light tank is a belgian T15, maybe it will be fine for my Force Publique league ;)
