3D Printable La Haye Sainte
« on: October 31, 2016, 10:40:57 PM »
For those of you who like meshing technology with your lead pile, and whom have access to a 3D printer, I have started a Kickstarter for the 3D files for La Haye Sainte.

https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/291129961/la-haye-sainte-3d-printable-terrain-for-waterloo

Primarily designed for 15mm, the flexibility of 3D printing means this is suitable for any scale that crosses for table. (Though it might not print well for 2mm ;-)

Looks interesting - what size are the individual pieces?  It makes a difference - my printer, for instance, has a build bed of 6 inches cubed...

Hi Mike,

I will confess that is something I had not considered, so thanks for bringing that to my attention.

The Stable is 14cm (so just a tad under 6") so should fit your printer bed. The Garden Wall however is 18cm, so is too big. With this in mind, I will include file options in both the Basic and Deluxe options for the Garden Wall to be as follows:

1. As I have originally designed it at 18cm.
2. With the low part of the wall as a separate print file, thus reducing both parts to under the 6" limit, and,
3. With the low wall shortened to ensure that likewise it will fit on the smaller print bed.

I will post an update to this effect on Kickstarter now.

Thanks for bringing this to my attention, as said it wasn't something I planned for which just goes to show that kickstarters are a little like battle plans :-)

Thanks Anthony - I've pledged.

I want to have a play with scenery with the printer and this looks a good place to start experimenting...
