Ahh Niels, I feel your pain! After having come from the land of plenty (plasticard) to DK, it's difficult finding anything decent. I've had to bit the bullit and order from the UK. Danish model train enthusiasts don't do scratch building to the same level (or at all) as their UK friends do. So there's little help there. Getting hold of foam board is also an issue here.

Try searching for 'opklæbningsplader' - that's foam board (sandwich board) around here, I have found. I have found a store in Odense that sells it in various thicknesses.
Ask at the LAF, and answer shall thy be given!

Sadly, I am on downtime atm, as I am on sick leave due to work related stress, and have trouble concentrating/focussing for more than a few minutes, which means that most hobby tasks take forever to complete, so everything is on hold for a while.

I'd personally avoid plasticard for basing as it does like to warp.

Instead I use ply, MDF or even dinner place mats;

That is bad news. I have quite a bit of mdf leftovers from Sarissa Old West buildings, but I think they are too thick for basing wattlefences - it will look odd.

I hoped to be able to use plasticard, because I want the bases to be as level with the tabletop as possible. Wattl fences would be based in their entire length on very narrow (1-3 cm wide) strips, just enough to keep them standing - do you think the plasticard will warp from the fence and out?

I use plasticard bases without waping.  I laser cut my own.  loads of them.

1mm minimum I'd say, but I sue 1mm for everything pretty much.

I'expect warping along the longest part, but there's only one way to find out eh?  ;)

Hmm... yeah... I have found an online store selling various grades of the stuff - shall probably get some during the holidays for after New Year....
Would be cool if it worked.

Are these prices OK?

Those prices look ok but check out this:

http://www.stationroadbaseboards.co.uk/cart_plastic.htm

As the prices are slightly better and more economical with the larger size sheets.  I buy in bulk, 10 or 20 sheets of various thicknesses and postage is very reasonable.

For the embossed sheets, go with newmodellershop.co.uk, they look like having a really good range.

If your bashing fences, I've used lollipop stick quite effectively.

Not quite long enough for the fences I'll be making - and I cannot make them curved - which I expect to do a lot with the plastic wattle from Renedra.
Could work for shorter sections, though.

Thanks!
