Scifi bits from Ikea visit?

We were at the local ikea store the other day and in the sales corner they always have this section with all sorts of metal and plastic bits, screws and tabs from their furniture, with plastic containters that you can fill for a few euros. So I was looking at that and noticed it had a few plastic bits that seemed to offer interesting possibilities for adding bits to scifi terrain. So I filled up a box and came back with these:



I see potential here for wall panels, legs and feet for scratchbuilding walkers, generators, barricades/cover, ... some of them hardly need any work at all.

So, does this seem like a good idea, or a waste of time and money?

The light grey triangularish pieces to the right seem particularly useful as a type of barrier for cover.

A while back I bought a huge bag of similar odds n ends, for $2 or so.
