Citadel Gangsters
« on: 08 December 2017, 04:08:05 PM »
Blast from the past, these are about 35 years old.
Early Perry and small compared to todays figures.
Packed full of charm and Old School coolness!
Finally finished a few, based and varnished.
Even finished the ,apparently rare, Al Capone at desk.

While small they would still be useable with more modern figures, other than the guy with the Tommygun. People come in many shapes and sizes. As far as the guns go then could be .22s or .32s instead of .38s and .45s.

Lovely painting. And "Al Capone at Desk" is certainly very rare. But I seem to remember them being so
small in comparison to todays 25mms/28mms that they would only be playable with 20mm stuff? Makes
the painting even more impressive!

Very nice. Never got the Al Capone set but live in hope. There was a motorcycle cop set listed in an old Military Modelling but no-one has ever seen it and the Perrys don't remember it. Would love to find at least a picture of it.

Re: The Motorcycle cop- Tony Ackland told me many moons ago, that the motorcycle was made and expected to be cast. Apparently there were problems with the mould/casting and as a result it was never released, but was listed.
Pretty much got  the whole range(except weapons pack)
Hope to convert a few for variety.

Neat, cheers for that. I guess it would have been Tony that designed the bike maybe. Wonder what happened to the cop rider?

Lovely job :) (Painted some Grenadier CoC models of a similar vintage & style recently with a very similar vibe)
