Just saw this on EBay (sorry, can't seem to post a link - 28mm Darkest Africa Jungle should find it). Shows what can be done with some aquarium plants!

A good mix of different plant types and a bit of work and you can produce a really effective looking jungle!

I also used (mainly) aquarium plants, glued to (flocked) Heroscape hexes, so these could be interconnected if needed.
