Anthony Conway's Caspasian series novels

This has been mentioned on the Back of Beyond Thread, but is equally applicable here... I've just finished rereading for the nth time 'The General's Envoy'. Having seen all that figure painting talent out there it struck me what a good scenario for Pulp it would be...
It's set in Warlord China, Shanghai in 1927. It's got the lot - Chinese gangsters, street fighting, stolen armoured cars, an armoured train run by a psycho Brit with severe PTSD and some nasty Russian mercs, evil Warlord and henchmen, 'good' warlord with beautiful daughter, set battles and skirmishes, corrupt European officials, with the erstwhile hero caught up in the middle...
From what I've seen, all the figures are out there

Pretty good reads, all told.

I ordered all 4 titles of the Caspasian-series just yesterday through Amazon - for between 2,50 and 6,50 Euros per title. Just look at the "used" or "second hand" offers ...

I ordered this one from Amazon for £4 inc postage. There are a couple of signed 1st eds on evilbay at present but they look like they will go high.

My dad's in England this week, so I'm having him bring the lot back to give to me the next time I see him.  The difference between 40-80 bucks and 5 quid - yikes.

Back of Beyond meets Pulp - and already producing some ace models like Svennn's armoured train...
Some of 47sqdn's exploits in Southern Russia have been accused of being more fiction than fact. My personal favourite is one plane puts down with engine trouble and encounters a Red cavalry patrol. While they fend them off with the Lewis gun, the other plane in their flight lands to take the crew to safety. They lay on the wings, clutching the struts (just like in the Mummy). One guy even doing a Dutch boy impersonation by stopping a leak from the fuel tank.
