Hammerings from the pit!
« on: May 10, 2009, 01:13:36 PM »

Hello all VSF gamers, here is my first sneak peek of a special project I have been working on for the past 6 months. I hope this will cause quite a stir in the VSF community.

Cheers
Fuzzy.

Crikey, sir. I'm looking forward to today. Up diddly up, down diddly
down, whoops, poop, twiddly dee - decent scrap with the fiendish Red
Baron - bit of a jolly old crash landing behind enemy lines - capture,
torture, escape, and then back home in time for tea and medals.

Marvellous - at last a decent sized tripod with a very alien feel. Lookig forward to seeing one with tentacles & weapons.

I hope Fighting 15's end up stocking them in the UK along with their other Eureka stock.

Thats beautiful - guess I'll have to put my Eureka order on hold until that one is released.

Oh dear. That is not a good thing - for my wallet.

Beautifully done, sir.

An awesome model indeed.
However, it looks nothing like how I imagine Wells' tripods...

Hahah, nice one there!

Agreed, but still a nice one all the same.

Looks great! Any idea how much it's going to cost? As a ball park estimate.
So many projects..... so little time.......

Thanks all for the great comments!

This is my first foray into the selling wargaming gear. The price still needs to be finalised between myself and Eureka. We are planning to officially release it at Melbourne Little Wars 2009 on the 31st of May. I guess you could email Eureka to place a preorder but best to wait until the price is announced.

As to the design. I have always wanted to make a tripod and I have drawn lots of ideas over the years. I wanted something to look more alien than mechanical and a bit insect like. The body has a bit of a hint of Jeff Wayne's WOTW tripod.

When it is finished I'll put some better pictures together including other figures so you get an idea of the scale.

Cheers
Fuzzy.
