Really nice 8)

What miniatures company are they from?
A CANADIAN local hobby store with a small selection of historical wargames miniatures (mainly from Warlords). They also have a great selection of paint and hobby accessories from Vallejo, Army painter, AK Interactive, Green Stuff World and more.; https://tistaminis.com/

Apologies for the necromancy but what are the small satchel things across their chests? If they were NCO / Officers I'd have said some kind of map case but that doesn't seem appropriate for a couple of OR's.

I don't think I've seen this detail on other early war Germans.

Its a gas cape pouch.  It was worn on the chest like the ones shown here in the early war with orders in 1942 saying it should be worn to the rear under the cylindrical metal gas mask case.   I have seen photos from Stalingrad in late 1942 where it is still being worn on the chest.

I have to say that these are beautifully done figures.  I got the early war Germans in the pioneer box and I thought they were really pretty awful sculpts.  These are full of character and have the feel of men on the long march into Russia in 1941.  Full marks for these.

Thanks, I've since searched through a bunch of WWII images on Google and found pictures with them from 1940 but very few from 1941. Perhaps it was a case of an order issued to confirm what was already being done in the field?

Sorry I should have commented on the painting which is lovely. I'm just putting together a set of these figures myself, hence the question. Putting together the MG34 teams can be a bit fiddly but mostly they are quite straightforward.
