As many I am finally getting back into some 40K.
I was absolutly thrilled when these mini's where released and just as daunted to start on them.

They are so chock-full of detail, it's sometimes hard to keep track of and many a time I had to reach back to colours I thought I'd finished with, just because I noticed a new little bit that needed to be painted in it (not to mention touch-up).

I still need to paint the rest of the team, including the Deathjester, and I'm looking to purchase a solitaire.

The pics are a bit blurrier than I hoped, but I just can't seem to get the hang of macro-photography.

Is it that hard to focus on this project? :P
All silly puns aside, they look really nice man. Excellent colour schemes and nice painting. Good freehands!

Those look amazing! I have some Harlequins waiting in the wings. I love how great they look when they're all painted up, but man is that a daunting task. You've excelled.

As for taking the photos, try backing away from the subject and taking the picture. If there's too much space around the minis you can always crop in afterwards.

Awesome work bud!! 8)  They're really looking the part and you outdid yourself on all those diamond patterns.

Can't wait to beat them in the flesh :D

Wait, what?  lol
Miniatures you say? Well I too, like to live dangerously...

Even with terrible photos (I can't just slobber all over you :P ) I can see how well painted the figures are.  The intricate patterns and  brilliant colours are wonderful!  The stark masks are a striking counterpoint and the face attract the eye instantly.  I have to get me some of those and if I do it's all your fault.  The scratches on your back drop are in focus so your camera might have focused on it.  Depth of field is tight with macro photos and I usually turn figures so they don't have an extended arm blurring portions of the subject.  I can't "read" the distance your models are placed from the board but if they were butted against the back that might make for a clearer photo.  Looking forward to seeing the models you are assembling even if they come out a little blurry :D .

Well. that's my troupe done.
Offcourse, I still need a Sollitaire, but it's only fitting that I have to paint him all by his lonesome.
It was a wonderfull project and I'm rather pleased with myself.

I even have relatively sharp pictures this time and included some better pictures of the troupmaster and shadowseer.

Excellent work again!  8) With such an outstanding paintjob, they're bound to get splattered hard on their first outing... >:D

Thanks all, I'm really pleased wiith them and enjoyed painting them a lot.

As daunting as they where, I'm happy I finally took the plunge and might even start looking at some infinity miniatures now.

I'm depending on your dice-rolls to keep them alive. That tactic usually helps.
