Anyone aware of photo-etch kits designed for the wargaming hobby?  Can you think of obvious things that could be made with photo-etch kits?

Forgeworld do a number of frets with Insignia for 40k. Pretty good quality, but at the usual price (although not as breathtakingly priced as a lot of other GW stuff).

Apart from insignia, you pretty much nailed the uses - finest terrain pieces, maybe some hooks and rings (although PE is usually a bit flat for that), maybe barbed wire; other than that, I could think of detailed plates or boards, maybe keyboards for computers, switchboards, instrument panels, maintenance hatches...

And, of course, scale armour plates, especially the "boiler plate" variety found on early to WW2 armoured vehicles. You know, like the gun shields on SdKfz halftracks. But I think that´s already a bit fiddly for the gaming purpose.

10 seconds in the sun seems really, really quick.

I probably told a black lie there. To be honest I can't remember for how long it is supposed to be exposed.
