This is Gist's Additional Continental Regiment. Not much is known about this regiment, other than it was raised in Southern NJ and Maryland. It was supposed to be a "light" regiment and was to include American Indians.
Four Light Infantry companies were called for, but only three were actually raised. Two companies went with the 3 RD MD and the other was assigned to the 11 VA. It appears that at some point, the remains of Grayson's and Foreman's Additional units were both absorbed into Gists Regiment.
They were brigaded in with the Marylander's and fought in the Philly Campaign and at Monmouth, which is where I have depicted them.
These are a mixture of leftover figures from other projects. You'll see Foundry, Eureka, F&D
and some conversions all mixed in there. The flags are either Flags of War or Adolfo Ramos, both of which are excellent choices. I chose the green divisional flag to match the green facings. The stripes flag is just a random choice.
Figures painted by John Bryant.
Conversions and basing by me.
