Conductor Troll (finished)
« on: 09 January 2018, 04:07:28 PM »
This model was commissioned for Christmas. I was asked to make a troll in the style of the Sourbreath Troggoths I made, but really had no guidelines other than that. The guy it`s for loves train, so I went with a railway theme with the lantern, conductor`s hat and bit of track on the floor.

It was a nightmarish sculpt but painting it went nice and smoothly. This troll can be found prowling the sheds and sidings of Woodley train station in the north of England, copper lantern held aloft to light his way. The lantern does actually light up. There is a switch hidden under the satchel flap which turns on the LED in the lantern (see last picture). It caused me no end of problems during the sculpt. I used Citadel paints to paint this guy, though most of the colours were mixed to give a duller caste.

Here are a couple of IMGUR links with more pics and a couple of spinning GIFs.

Looking forward to making some things that aren`t trolls this year!

Oh my stars and little comets! That's some amazing work!
