The colour scheme of this masque was what attracted me to the Harlequins a year ago. However I was put off by the brightness of it and thought it was too difficult to do. So I did another masque, which was good enough but I wasn’t convinced. Then last December flicking through the white dwarf magazine I noticed someone did them, spectacularly. So I decided to have a go.
There are differences because I didn’t want to copy the guy from white dwarf – in my creative mind it didn’t feel right, even though there is no copyright and the colour scheme is set by games workshop. So the colour of the masks, gemstones, head crests, scarfs, boots and coats are different. I used a white undercoat and a mix of foundry and citadel paints.
They are a parallel project with my punics and serve as a break from them and vice-versa.
