Braine l’Aleud 1815, Changing History - Devon Wargames Group

One of the games run this month at the DWG, and appropriately timed for the 208th anniversary of the battle this Sunday, was a Waterloo themed scenario featuring the Dutch-Belgians and their contribution to the Allied victory over Napoleon.



The scenario was designed to see if a raw Dutch-Belgian Division could draw on the strength of its very experienced commanders and stand up to an attack from experienced and determined French troops.

Well, well, well.  Maybe the Dutch-Belgians ain't so bad after all.  At least not in this fight, anyway.  Well done, and 3 Huzzahs!   :D
