Churchill Tank 1/72nd scale consistency

I'm hoping for some advice. I want to embark on an army build for the Dieppe operation 1942 and need a quantity of Churchill Mks I-III in 1/72nd scale.

For MkI-II I really am married to the Hasagewa kits. I'm after advice as to who makes an accurate comparative 1/72nd scale Mk III or kit capable of a MkIII conversion which is true to the Hasagewa scale models.

I've had a search on the internet but not really hitting the mark.

I'm sure I've seen some in resin, not plastic kits, but I forget where.

However, I do also have a spare Hasegawa Churchill you can have cheap if you want it!

(Scratch that, I've just seen you're in Oz, which might affect the postage just a tad!)

Have you checked the dimensions and hence the actual scale of the Hasegawa Churchills?

Though the 15mm version of the PSC kit has a mark III, the PSC website says it only builds the IV, V and VI.

The Airfix kit is 4mm scale (contrary to any box art) and the later form.

Thanks anyway everyone. Looks like I'll try another tack. The misunderstanding concerning the Mk III is understandable if you rely on the internet and this misinformation is repeated on a quite a number of web-sites.

I'm going out on a limb and having a crack at Crusader Models who seem to make the whole range for Dieppe. They make the OKE variants as well as the wading vents and snorkels. If the supplier comes through and they don't match the Hasagewa then I'll stump up the extra and get their Mk I-IIs also. I need nine tanks all together with two Dingo IIs.

I know I'm whistling in the breeze here but I don't suppose anyone knows were to score a D7 Bulldozer in 1/72nd scale. I can't ascertain if it's armoured or not - I suspect not.

Grubby Tanks also make a Churchill III, although my experience with both Hasegawa and Grubby would lead me to believe that the Grubby version will be slightly larger.

I have some resin Churchill IIIs but I'm not sure where I got them from (it was long ago). Might be Cromwell Models.

Unlucky General, I don’t know how they compare to Hasegawa, but ESCI had the mk III - I have a few badly painted ones.  If you want, I can lay a ruler beside one and take a picture.  Not sure if Italeri produces them now.

Only one way to find out...buy one of each 1/72 Churchill tank out there! I wouldn't bother with Grubby/Britannia though, they were always more 1/76 than 1/72
