It's a shame the top one has what appears to be a painting service watermark in the bottom right hand corner, even if it does belong to the entrant.

I had to go for the wild west posse because there is a lot more colour in that picture. I know the lack of colours in the first is part of the subject matter (and I wouldn't have it any other way) but painting different olours does require extra effort and even the browns in the second picture are all different!

Bro's Fuji Bugs?

Yep! Might keep it for the duration of the league, there's advantages to being the eldest ;)

Weird reason for voting but the oversized terrain put me off the first entry even though its nicely painted.

I think Dan is right. The oversized terrain look odd… In the end I still voted for the Para though.

It's the cowboy posse for me - rich colours, beautifully shaded and highlighted, with lots of character in the faces. I'm in the middle of painting at least two of the same models now, so I'm also taking notes. Bonus!

Yeesh... I agree with Sinewgrab, I need a "both" button.

But I voted for the cowboys - just that little extra bit of variety pushed the over the edge.

For me this was an easy one. I just don't like the Dallimore/Steve Dean painting style at all and miniatures painted with this style will probably always loose with me (if I can spot it of course ;)).
In addition, the Airborne are painted terrifically! Love the muted (though bright) colors and the way they look together. The backdrop is gorgeous too and there are 9 of them...9! Parachutes get my vote!

well i think i am going to loose this one.

i had no time to make a new pic of these minis. you cant really see detail on this one like helmet markings and the 101st airborne badge.

but i had a very strong opponent so it is not that hard

congrats to bugsda
