Ok, that foreground-left 'nid-parts ship has got to be the coolest thing ever.
You, sir, are not allowed to attempt a takeover of the solar system until your octopus sobers up.

In this instance, I don't think that the insets help Vanvlak's entry- They don't really show any detail that isn't already shown in the main photo and they make the presentation far too busy IMHO... ::)

I agree! But I spotted a reflection of myself in the tiles (the pic was taken in the bathroom, as befits a watery theme!) and THAT would have been MUCH worse.  :D

Was Round 3 some kind of Man-O-War bonus round that no one bothered to tell me about...? lol

I'm really not too fond of the martian invaders wearing little more than goggles and a balloon to protect them, but the painting is very nice. Still, I went for the man'o'war models and the nice conversions you added.

Although the first one are painted slightly better I still voted for number two. I just love how all the parts are used for some fantastic and bloody original scenery that will look awesome on the table. That's the stuff I like the most.
I do like the weirdness of number one though. The robes combined with the weird gas masks gives a nice eerie effect I really like.
