As the old Chechen T-55 advances, it is hit by several RPGs rounds, halting the vehicle in its tracks and killing all its crew.

Seeing the Chechen resistance fade, Platoon Commander Stepanov seizes the opportunity to execute a tactical withdrawal down the main street.

The remaining BTR gives covering fire to the infantry.

Using the cover of the descending darkness and like a scene from the movie Black Hawk Down, Stepanov and what was left of his platoon run alongside the vehicles to finally exit hell.

A relative peace descends once more on this war torn area of Grozny.

Well done Mr Broom, you kept your cool and fought hard to save the Russian bacon, "winning" the day for the Russians and achieving a success which they failed to do in real life.

Its always a pleasure when you visit and I sincerely hope you enjoyed the game as much as me. For those who may not known us, I am the tall, dark ruggedly handsome Welshman, while Rob is, well let's just be polite and just say he is english  ;)

Great scenery, nice miniatures and great battle report. Thank you for sharing  :)
"The enemy? His sense of duty was no less than yours, I deem. You wonder what his name is, where he came from. And if he was really evil at heart. What lies or threats led him on this long march from home. If he would not rather have stayed there ... in peace. War will make corpses of us all."

Thank you Gents!!!

I do like Bolt Action for modern day skirmish warfare, as a fellow LAFer said to me the other day, it's like a Commando Comic set of rules.

The next terrain project for this conflict is a factory and a dedicated train station with a double set of train tracks with damaged carriages etc.
