Great! One question which pops up as I look at your projects is. "Jesus, *that* required a lot of greenstuff. Is he buying it on the black market by the container?"

Ebay is your friend here mate! I usually buy it in 36" lengths. Here's one on £7 for example......

Never buy it from the likes of GW! They charge an arm and a leg for the stuff! :o

As I was looking at all of your fine work this morning, I was wondering how I had missed this thread! Very fun and inspiring work and I want to see much more.

Superb stuff Andy.

I hadn't seen it before so I appreciate you taking the time to fix all the links to the pictures, top man.

So I've been struggling with time to do anything recently, but this has been top of the list for a wee bit. It really wants to make me get on with my own SW project.🤔

It's mainly a toy I was supplied. There was covers where the wings are currently attached that show the engine workings. They've been removed, cut up and added to the wings to allow them to move(or been unclipped for transport). Hopefully it now looks similar to the imperial shuttle from ROTJ. Maybe a slightly different class or prototype.

I'm sure I've seen Jimbibbly convert this toy before, but I can't find images!

Andy that ship is looking good but I have one question.  Why does your desk look like mine down to the Baked Bean tins?

They're actually fairly cheap to find on eBay Colin. It's a star wars rebels attack shuttle.

It's the reason I haven't been doing much in a looooonnng while mate, I'm renovating me house and my hobby room became a makeshift kitchen in the mean time! :'(

Get it sorted mate! Some of us need ideas to steal inspire us! Stop watching rugby and do something more important! ;)

How strong are the wings going to be?
I imagine they would be quite fragile where they join the original model

Surprisingly strong Colin. The wings and fin are made from foamed PVC which is very light compared to plastic card. With the original part of the toy attached where the wing meets the hull, by superglue, Its sturdy AND lets the wing fold.  The foamed PVC can also be inscribed with panel lines, which makes it a doddle to detail.
