Darkson Designs have posted a preliminary version of the Competitive Campaign rules for AE-WWII. These rules will allow gamers in clubs or at stores to participate in a multi-player campaign game that pits teams of AE-WWII fans against one another in individual scenarios that will then count towards a possible campaign win for their side.
This initial release of the Competitive Campaign rules includes a six scenario tree campaign with rules for tracking points, creating campaign forces and determining the overall winner of the campaign.
AE-WWII writer and Darkson Designs General Manager Matt Hope hopes that "these rules will bring AE-WWII fans together to participate in a campaign that will provide a richer and more competitive atmosphere than individual games." He also adds, "the team rules make it so that every game is important and that every single person's contribution to the final result matter. This makes for a very tense and, we hope, enjoyable system".
The Competitive Campaign rules are available for download from the Darkson Designs Download page.

AE-WWII is Darkson Designs rules for combat in a dark, alternative World War 2 timeline where psychics, alien technology and Tesla influenced hi-tech have dramatically altered the events of WWII. The rules are support by a range of true 28mm figures that not only include the standard WWII America, Soviet and German troops but also the SturmAffe, a twisted combination of Ape and alien technology, the Buffalo Armoured suit with electrical Tesla Cannon and the Soviet Banshees, female troops who use the power of their minds to produce powerful sonic waves. The upcoming AE-WWII Occult Expansion adds magic, occult and a dark synthesis of SS magic and technology. The Occult Expansion will be available at Gen Con 2009 and in general release in September 2009.
