Desert Battlemat finished (14/07)

With the shed extension now finished I thought it was about time to grace my new table with some new terrain. As a first for me, I decided to make a desert battlemat using a decorators dust sheet, caulk , sand etc.

The final cloth will be 18ft x 6ft...so it will be a bit of a monster.

The first “strip” (about half the size of the average wargames table) looks impressive in itself...love the well also...might have to pinch the idea.

Finished the desert battlemat yesterday and very happy with the final outcome...

final size 6ft x 17.5ft and it is a heavy beast. I reckon total cost in materials was under £40

Battle mat got used last night - and I upgraded all my desert terrain to tie in
