Landsknechts in 15mm
« on: 02 July 2020, 11:59:01 AM »
Hi all,
I was recently gifted a lot of Museum Miniatures landsknechts in 15mm (though they seem more 17-18mm to me). They are excellent figures, with nice detail, quality sculpts and casts, and a nice balance of realism and character in the style. Their one drawback is there aren't many variants so I want one or two other makes mixed in with them.

What would people suggest would be a good size match? I've done a fair bit of research already, but want to get it right before ordering.

Does anyone know how QRF look next to Museum? I'd eventually like to do a Henry VIII's army, with bows and bills, plus landsknecht mercenaries.
My armies:
- Henry VIII's army (WIP) 15mm
- Ancient Germans (28mm)
- Ancient Belgae (Gauls with German allies) (28mm)
- Massilian Greeks (Greeks and Gallic mercenaries/subjects) (28mm)
- A few EI Romans (28mm)
- Handful of WW2 British (15mm)
- A load of old 1993-1999ish Warhammer Orcs and Goblins

Blue moon might be a bit large. But the old glory 15mm Italian wars stuff is large 15mm so would fit.

Thanks, Old Glory are a possibility then.
I hadn't looked at Blue Moon until you mentioned them and they look excellent figures! So many different sculpts as well. But yes, a bit big for my requirements, and I don't know if I can get them in the UK without hefty delivery costs.

Legio Heroica now has a range of Landsknechts. While I don't have any from the range, all my other LH figures are on the larger side.

Thanks, I'd never seen those before. They are quite hefty and look a good fit with Blue Moon and Grumpy models, but I think my Museum ones are leaner alongside them.
