'The last of the last'
« on: May 20, 2011, 02:52:59 PM »
Important moment today to reflect as the final WW1 combat veteran Claude Choules was laid to rest in my home town of Fremantle here in Western Australia. It was quite a moving scene to see the navy send off he got and the whole town just ground to a halt. Quite an amazing feat just to live that long and fight in two world wars.
