Glad you enjoyed it! I'm not sure that using different coloured card for unit/order cards is exactly original so please don't feel guilty about copying it...
Rules-wise, my group are really enjoying the card/order system, and the basics of shooting and close combat have been picked up pretty quickly. We are still getting an awful lot of supressions, but I think we are using too many machine guns (3 LMGs and 2 HMGs in this particular game). We are also playing a house rule that units that have double the number of active figures in supression counters are automatically pinned.
The sniper rules were a lot of fun, though the -2 to spot within the same terrain piece was pretty evil - especially when the sniper moved every turn with enemy underneath him, and they still couldn't spot him! Reminded me of 'Predator'! I think we would do well to forget the -2 if the sniper is moving around.
The main rules query was with close combat. In one combat, the Ethiopian chargers won, but the Italian enemy unit passed its morale check and chose to continue fighting. After the second fight, the Ethiopians lost and passed a morale check. What happens now? We weren't sure, but the rules seem to suggest that you keep fighting until one side runs away or is destroyed - is that right? We played a third round of combat and the Ethiopians were beaten again, they failed a morale check and fled.
I'll try to photo my next game as well if people enjoyed it. I've got quite a lot on the painting table right now, I'm adding lorries, Italian mountain guns and a plane to the collection. I'll let you know how it goes...
