There was a club back home (Barrow-in-Furness) that had the same carpet from when my dad used to go, the thing (for thing it was) was legendary

Very nice work...quite ingeneous. All of my Asian folk are are bases painted up to look like Jade...a very nice effect if I say so myself...although I never painted them that way, they look great none-the-less!!

Great miniature Svenn and I love the carpet idea... I have an old lady miniature I am working on now that could use a bit of persian carpeting for her base! Great idea! I hope you don't mind if I borrow it!

That's one big cigarette burn in that there carpet. A pity, it's a nice carpet.

now you need some more figures to go with
since it's not a bar anymore and the carpet looks like brothel, some figures sitting on around sofa would be appropriate

The miniature looks good, and the carpet for the base is a cleaver - and effective idea. This figire is pretty versatile, she would even work as a 20s flapper (in the early 20s, oriental fashions were very popular in the United States.)
