Memphis Belle is one of the most famous planes on display at the USAF Museum. The statistics of the 8th Air Force daylight bombing offensive are sobering, and the AF Museum exhibits present them well. If you have time, the 1944 War Department film "Target For Today" gives a contemporary, more optimistic view of that war:
