Chris, it could be down to my umpiring. 8)
Only the two games at the big bash & several read throughs of the rules.
I may well have missed some stuff.
We are prepared to play it again (always a good sign in my book).
I even scoured ebay to get us some cavalry in 15mm. :)

 lol
Hopefully future games will be more magical, then!

Three of the BBB ACW scenarios that I particularly like are The Wilderness, Chickamauga and Chancellorsville. Those are magical for me because of the scale and geometry of the operations, especially the sweeping manoeuvre at Chancellorsville. But for now, while you're all getting to grips with the rules, you are probably better off with smaller ones like Cedar Creek and Champion Hill.

That looked like a hell of a battle.  Well done.

Thanks Capt.
Lots of praise to Bob (Flatpack) for providing ALL the troops.
At least they have, 'Seen the Elephant' once again.

Our problem is a lack of Cavalry figures, but I have picked up some
Mini-fig 15mm ones off eBay. Just have to paint them all!

The cavalry rules as written work just fine. Some of us with collections including dismounted cavalry have added rules so the dismounted lads get to see the table. No need to use them if you prefer not to paint more figures.

With a glorious swish of his sword and his lance
And a glorious clank of his tin-plated pants. - Dr. Seuss

Oh, but you just have to have Cavalry!  All those John Wayne movies, if for no other reason.  :D
