Lawson's VA State Regiment
« on: 08 July 2021, 08:14:50 AM »
There were several different detachments from VA, at the battle of Cowpens.

In addition to the lone Continental Company, there were Lawson's State Troops and a Uniformed Militia Battalion under Triplett.
There were also smaller scattered detachment from various counties in VA.

Theses are Lawson's State Regiment.
Both VA regiments were solid, experienced soldiers. Many had seen Continental service.
In fact, Morgan placed them at the flanks of his Continental line. He had that much regard for them.

Ooh, nice!
And the glorious general led the advance
With a glorious swish of his sword and his lance
And a glorious clank of his tin-plated pants. - Dr. Seuss
