DP9 is doing new models for their 15mm Gear Krieg range
« on: 03 December 2009, 02:15:00 PM »
Maybe old news to you (if you are a regular on the DP9 Forum):
http://dp9forum.com/index.php?showtopic=7502

I can't say how exited I am about this project. IMO the mini captures the established artwork of the Shiki splendidly, in addition as the author of Mongoose Pacific War book, reader of countless books about Japanese tanks, infantry and warfare and part time connoisseur of Japanese tanks I am also very happy how the Japanese AFV design of WW II is presented in this walker. Even the MG looks like a Type 92 HMG!

The corresponding book (World at War: Gear Krieg Banzai!) is already written and now in proofreading.
It will include a lot of background, 10 Shiki variants, an army list to field walker only forces and 3 Infantry army lists (Oni, Koumajutsu and Betsudotai Ninja special Ops). Add the lists of my Mongoose published Pacific War book and you are well covered for the weird Pacific War!

I can't stress the point how happy I am about this joint venture, my World at War: Gear Krieg book really seem to put some fresh air into this great game line!
cheers and keep on gaming, Agis - https://www.adpublishing.de

So how long until they do a 28mm line?  ;)

Robert (of DP9) discussed in earnest. I was then thinking very seriously about a license for 28mm GK vehicles, but in the end we decided against it.

It is an interesting army list, truly elite light infantry with lots of special stealth rules...

Oh sure, just what I needed, another army... I don't want to start a new army, I don't want to start a new army, I don't want to start a new army, I don't want....
Oh well, I'll order some more ninja's, just a few, and some regulars, and since I use 1/72 I'll convert some Walkers, maybe an airplane...

Why is it that everybody is after my money?

I know the feeling, just when I was thinking "no more 28mm" somebody will bring out some incredible nice 28mm minis to make the lead pile grow...
