Maurice in the Seven Years War
« on: 05 March 2022, 09:47:57 AM »
This week friends and I got reacquainted with another old friend, Maurice, the card play rules by Sam Mustafa together with a very nicely prepared collection of Seven Years War, Prussians, Austrians and Bavarians as we played a warm-up game to refamiliarize ourselves with the basic mechanics of play, prior to another larger game later this month.

Once we got into it, all the reasons to love playing Maurice came flooding back and I'm really looking forward to our next game.

Thank you, Martin had done a great paint job with his figures and terrain which really added to our game.

Great AAR and nice pictures mate. I am a big fan of 10mm miniatures too - Pendraken surely offers a very nice range. For syw I prefer Old Glory though. I have never played Maurice, although I own the rules - seems to be be a very nice, unconventional set of rules. Will definitely play them. Thank you for your report!

Cheers!

Great report and very nice pics.

Maurice is one of our club favourites, and your post is a prompt that we must have another game soon.

There's nothing quite like having a careful scheme thwarted by a "That's not on the map!" card, and to the usual general hilarity round the table.
