Timecast For Sale
« on: 24 March 2022, 02:16:12 PM »
Folks,
This was posted on TMP yesterday.  I don't see a similar post on LAF (apologies if it is here and I just couldn't find it):

If Timecast have a presence here I wish the team all the best.  I've kinda known Barrie since 'Free Fire Zone V1.0' when we conversed by mail!!  All the best for the future mate.

I got notice from Timecast itself - but sounds like they will be up and running through the end of the year.

Like many 'venerable' companies, the  proprietors are getting on in age and ready to retire - or physical limitations are pushing it upon them.  Sounds like that might be the case here.

I suspect in five years a lot of long-time big names in the hobby will have sold on and things will look very different to us 'old timers'.

Heck, even I am retiring in a few months - with a well supplied pile of figures to paint.

Contemplating possibly ordering a few more 10 mm buildings for my Vietnam setup - maybe - from Timecast.

I placed an order for some extra latex rivers and bridges. Even if sold there is no gurantee where the new owners will be based, and what ranges they might not carry on producing.

I hope they have a long and pleasant retirement
