Now where did we get to?

Ah yes, rockets and guns deployed and inflicting minor damage as the Carlists closed on the road. Further up the road the Carlists brigades that had arrived on the Government right were now starting to cross the road and form up to prevent a break through; this was the moment when the Carlist player should have detached one brigade to cross the river at the bridge and hold the village and river banks, oh well  :'(

The Carlists did manage to get a unit (a bit disorganised and a bit mangled) into contact with the guns and it looked like the Governments luck had run out but they held!

The Chapelgorris & Guides were now able to come to the aid of the beleaguered guns and pushed off the enemy brigade thus preventing a break through.

With both flanks secure it was now time for the Government to push on to the river and push they certainly did!

The Princess Hussars and the Horse Grenadiers dealt with vulnerable formations and the Guards brigade powered on forward, the Foreign Legion seeing off the deserters battalion on the other side. The BAL didn't fire a shot, just kept on marching  lol

With another brigade collapsed it was clear the Carlists were done and the way home was secure for the Government.
