Small arms of the Great Paraguayan War - what is a Witton rifle?

Considering doing the 1864-1870 war of the Triple Alliance aka Great Paraguayan war, and have come across some small arms I'm not sure about for the Paraguayan army:
Witton rifle
Turner breech loading carbine

There was a Witton arms manufacturer in 1862 in that part of Birmingham UK, but the company appeared to have other names prior and after.

Anyone got any details on these weapons?
