Bring on the Empty Horses
« on: 06 May 2022, 04:12:07 PM »

Casualty minis for my Roundway Down game at Partizan on 22nd May.  I bet I forget to use them (Again! Every time I run a show game).

Excellent Simon  :-*

Just the trick for casualty markers.

I think you mentioned on The Plastic Crack Podcast that they would serve to mark the fallen on the battlefield? Perhaps specific charcaters/regiments?

Hi Darrell,

Essentially they will start the game on a tin tray by the side of the battlefield, and, based on previous experience, I'll find them all still there at the end. ;-)

I did enjoy the Plastic crack Podcast, that was sloe gin I was drinking, I was quite merry by the time it finished!

Very nice indeed. Do you by any chance remember where you got the wounded ensign? I don't recognise him. I ask because I have this hope that one day I'll recreate a unit sitting around resting, and I'm therefore always interested in sitting and kneeling figures.

That is the "way of the newly painted and based"  lol Apparently it's mentioned in The Book of Five Rings, Miyamoto Musashi  ;) :D

It's great. A real breath of fresh air as it's light yet engaging.  8)  I rarely get to listen live but always make sure I catch up.

Hi Paul, the ensign is definitely Redoubt, probably intended to be a pikeman.

Great casualty markers - a bit grisly, but so much better than using dice etc. 👍

Love the David Niven reference 😆.

They look great, all that tufting work is well worth it.  Looking forward to seeing them at Partizan.

The kneeling pikeman is from pack CWX 3 - I think I still have him along with the other casualties somewhere in the Closet of Doom :
