1 ST Spartans at Cowpens

Continuing on with my AWI Collection.

The South Carolina Militia fought valiantly at Cowpens.
Most of the back country militias had been engaged in combat previously.
Some of these men had fought at Kings Mountain, Blackstock's Plantation, Huck's Defeat and other battles.

The Spartan Militia grew so large that it was split into two Regiments.
The first under John Thomas and the Second (and much larger) under Thomas Brandon.
The Second was more commonly known as "Brandon's Regiment".

This is John Thomas' First Spartans. I be back with brandons later on.
