28mm Gothic Foot from Wargames Atlantic
« on: 29 August 2022, 02:04:54 AM »

Good stuff here! Enough choices to cover almost every permutation of Gothic foot soldiers and the size will mix well with Gripping Beast's plastic cavalry. Full photo review here    https://antonswargame.blogspot.com/2022/08/28mm-dark-ages-gothic-foot-from.html

I got a chance to put some of them together

Nice!

Thanks for posting this. I did not realize they had made that set of miniatures. Good to hear they pair well with the Gripping Beast models mentioned. Your paint jobs look fantastic, too. :)

I what you have done with these, the posing looks good. If I had one criticism it would be that the heads and hands are smidge big although once painted it does seem to diminish it.

They look good and with a few metal command would make a great host to take on the Roman’s, Huns etc.

Cheers

What is it in particular that makes them Goths? Is it the helmets? Could they be used for all other Early Medieval warriors?

I think it is some of the helmets. Most however should work for almost any other warrior of the rough era. In the end, it's guys with basic clothes, weapons, and shields. The helmet designs might be more 'Gothic' but I'm sure that similar ones would be used by other peoples as well.

Many of those look like they could be used as relatively generic Dark Age miniatures. Thank you for posting.
