My ACW Collection

Hey 15's! I bet you didn't see this one coming?

Long before I began working on the AWI, I was a serious ACW collector.
I instantly fell in love with the Dixon line and they remain my favorites till this day.

I've several thousand Old Glory, Perry (Metals), Redoubt, S&S and other makers.
These are my original ACW that I've had prior to my starting the AWI.

Alas, those were packed up when I moved and they still are.

Instead, I continued on, buying up more and more Dixons.
I also delved into the plastics world and was able to get a large amount of boxes of Perry ACW.

A while back, I made myself a set of 2x2x2 terrain squares.
I enclosed 2 inch thick pink foam inside a box that I made from battens and an MDF base.
My intention is to create several scenes from the "Battle of Gettysburg" based on the terrain squares.

I plan on gluing the figures right onto the groundwork that's covering the foam.

But I digress. Here are a few shots of the armies I am building.
