B&P's Tartana
« on: February 17, 2023, 01:46:04 AM »

La Chiquita Tartana
I finished up a Firelock Games' Tartana this week with a lot of after market and hand crafted parts. I'm in a bit of a crunch to finish up some of the models I have laying around my workroom for a convention game I have coming up in July.

Very impresive. You've clearly added a huge amount of detail to the kit.

Great looking ship. It's probably the only ship I don't own.

Victory is guaranteed to the last man standing, but always remember those whom you stepped on to get there!!

I was hesitant when I first saw this one in the B&P catalog, then I looked at an obscure book called “Ottoman Sailing ships Galleys to Galleons” which feature many Mediterranean designs. Fantastic diagrams for this model and its modifications. It’s written in modern Greek so it’s a little hard for me to follow the author’s work. The illustrations are brilliant.

Thanks all for your comments. I hope to finish up the ship hulls I have left and get some pictures posted for your enjoyment.
