B&P's French Brigantine "Coque en Fer"
« on: 24 February 2023, 03:06:48 AM »

Finished up a new ship for your viewing pleasure!

This is the Blood & Plunder Brigantine by Firelock Games. A fun little model I wanted to make into a French merchant for my convention game F.F.O.S. This is one of the first models I haven't up-gunned to compete with heavier vessels, but cannons are expensive and take up room that cargo can occupy.

Really lovely ship. Especially I like the sails, how do you do this?

Ichwillauch,
that explanation will require me to put together a tutorial. I am starting the B&P frigate next. When I make the sails for that ship I will put together a How-To post on the site and put a link here for you. I have been wanting to post some tutorials for making parts for ships: belaying pins, Dead eyes, Cat head anchor posts, and sails. I just wasn't sure there was an interest.

Thank you.

yes of course, tutorials would be highly appreciated. Maybe the moderators could make a thread for ship building tutorials, too.
