Battle Taxis for BT

Hailing a Taxi!

Hello all,

I do love the vision of infantry supporting mechs in Battletech, even if it may not be practical in a game.   It is awesome to see the artwork with them working together.  With that nerd joy in mind, I decided to add conventional infantry to my inner sphere factions.  The problem is I have four inner sphere factions and I “needed” unique APCs for every faction.  It was time to shop online.
I hope you enjoy the ones I have selected.  I placed a light mech from each force for scaling. Please enjoy these varied armored vehicles and infantry.

I am planning two large groups of infantry.  These grunts are from Death Ray designs.  They are great models.  This is Grey company.  The other company is still on the way.

I was inspired to use lesser known modern vehicles from GHQ models.  New modern AFVs today are bordering on concept art from my youth.  I feel the real-world APCs provide the proper scaling against the mechs.

First up is my Merc force.  This company primarily uses wheeled APCs for their lower cost.  The Boxer AFV from Germany was a must use.  I just love this thing.  To my horror I realized there were EIGHTY wheels to paint.  Duh!

On occasion the mercs need to send security platoons into enemy occupied woods.  For that purpose, there is one heavy tracked APC lance in the unit. These models, and several seen below, are from Khurasan miniatures.  Their 6mm sci-fi line is an excellent line being true 1/285-300 miniatures.

Next up is Comstar.  When I saw these Cane Toad APCs I felt they had that weird / cool late Star League feel.

For Davion we have a very basic stock AFV.  This is another GHQ model, it is the Dardo IFV from Italy.   I am tickled that a 25mm cannon is a kid’s pop gun in Battletech.  I would never call that more than a machine gun in our scale.

Last up is our Steiner lances.  I love how the Donegal theme color works on these detailed models.  These are once again Khurasan miniatures.

Thank you
